Achmad: what I find fascinating is how blogging will change journalism in Tempo. Right until now it's enjoyed an elevated status and sometimes gets a bit out of touch with readers and reality, not to mention the facts.

Bloggers will add a dimension of hyper scrutiny to Tempo and the editorial staff have to respond to this hyper scrutiny.

It's a bod experiment and I hope it works as I think it'll be good for journalism here.

This will be an interesting development to watch. The economics of MSM are still more favorable in countries like Indonesia and China, which still have a huge digital divide.
There also seems to be a digital divide across the generations. Didn't seem to occur to the anti-porn committee, for example, that alot of young Indonesians in the city get their smut from the internet.
How long before Bloggers can cover press conferences here ? Our friend blogger Yosef Ardi, for example, has quickly shot to the forefront. The Bapaks and Ibus who run this country might take longer to catch on. But the fact that Juwono Sudarsono and Wimar Witoelar are bloggers offers hope.
