Is the Malaysian Prime Minister, who is a Bugis by descent, also a Malay? Is Malay a race or an ethnic grouping? What does all of this mean for ketuanan Melayu?

Read my letter about Tourism Malaysia and Nila Tanzil which has been posted in Malaysiakini.
I sent the letter to The Editor of The Star, with a copy directly to Datuk Wong Chun Lai as it was intended as a response to the good Datuk’s opinion piece and the letter from the Director General of Tourism Malaysia. That was two weeks ago.

Again, needless to say, Malaysiakini took only one day to post my letter on its website.
