Unspun‘s known Ibu Ellie since Asia Times days and then caught up with her again in Jakarta. Had many good times – some sober, others not – until Ibu Ellie, whose Bahasa Indonesia was always enviously better than Unspun‘s hightailed it out of Indonesia to get a PhD, go kayaking in Ireland and write a book.
