Abubakar: Bolstering Weber Shandwick’s Jakarta team
Global PR operator Weber Shandwick has announced the appointment of Dian Noeh Abubakar as vice president of its Indonesian operations.
Abubakar will report to Djohansyah Saleh, head of operations for Jakarta-based Weber Shandwick Indonesia.
She is charged with providing strategic media relations to clients and directing client-service teams.
The move comes after Weber Shandwick announced a recent public affairs push into South East Asia.
Abubakar has 15 years of experience in corporate communications, consumer brands, healthcare, internal communications and Islamic finance. The appointment strengthens WS’s team with senior capabilities across several practices.
