Malaysia’s largest newspaper, The Star, and its largest legal gambling den, Genting, is getting together to cash in on the blogging phenomenon by creating AllMalaysian bloggers directory. Participating bloggers are also promised the prospect of winning attractive prices. It’s a bold move and may prove visionary but Unspun thinks the blogosphere’s goodwill can’t be bought so easily and may swarm against the companies behind this project. Besides both The Star and Genting don’t have too much street creds.
The AllMalaysian Bloggers Project (AMBP) is an undertaking of the folks behind the AllMalaysia.info website, all of whom believe strongly in the freedom of speech. The objective of this little project is to gather ALL Malaysian blogs under one umbrella site from which (potential) readers can find the various blogs by theme.
theStar and Genting are free to do what they want. Is whether bloggers want to participate or not that matters.
If theStar and Genting insists on some kind of caveat or censorship, then bloggers who want to get listed do so at their own risk. But for those who don’t really need exposure through a directory won’t bother much. There’s still PPS.

Personally I wouldn’t join the directory.
