JAKARTA – Microsoft’s MSN has moved to broaden its presence in Indonesia by partnering with news companies MNC Group and Metro TV to include video and print coverage by the networks.
The deals allow MSN to upload entertainment and sports news provided by MNC Group’s Oke Zone and RCTI Television and current events news from Metro TV, said MSN Southeast Asia’s executive producer Rick Mulia.
Mulia commented that MSN is still looking to broaden its reach within the region by “looking to content partners”. He added: “Even in this environment there are still opportunities for partnership and gaining share.”
Mulia said news from Oke Zone and RCTI Television can already be seen on MSN’s Indonesian domain, while content from Metro TV will soon go live.
