Lombok. While the Miliband brothers continue to fight each other for the lead of Britain’s opposition Labor Party, two brothers have found it relatively easy to lead the town of Bima on the West Nusa Tenggara island of Sumbawa.

In April, Qurais Abidin, then the vice mayor of Bima for the 2008-2013 period, was promoted to the top city post by Governor Zainul Majdi, following the sudden death of then-mayor Nur A Latif while he was being probed by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in March.

To fill the position of vice mayor, the local legislative council suggests three candidates, of whom the mayor may choose his two favorites. The council then votes on who will fill the post.
