This is bizzare. Anyone who knows Jakarta at all will know that the Hotel Indonesia circle is smack in the middle of the city. It is overlooked by several hotels, Mandarin Oriental, HYatt and Kempinski/Hotel Indonesia and the Grand Indonesia shopping complex. In the day time it is usually choc-a-bloc full of cars stuck in the city’s notorious traffic jams. Even in the middle of the night it is a busy place.
So how did a woman get in the fountain and die there?

Jakarta Police says the remains of a woman was found in the Hotel Indonesia traffic circle fountain in Central Jakarta on Tuesday morning.
Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Baharudin Djafar said there were no clues as to the identity of the woman, and that police had found only Rp 40,000 in her wallet but no ID card.
Officers from Menteng Police removed the body, and sent it for an autopsy at Cipto Mangunkusumo hospital.
The woman was said to have been in her 50s, with curly hair, and was around 150 centimeters in height with tanned skin. Police said the body showed no bruising or signs of violence.
The body was found by Stevanus, a worker who checks the fountain water every morning.
