This is a funny story about how some thieves broke into a school in Malaysia, disconnected the servers and computers and made off with the haul – after leaving a RM50 (about Rp100,000) tip for the security guard.Malaysians have a habit of blaming all robberies on Indonesians and will no doubt be thinking that Indonesians are behind this because of the thieves’ penchant for tipping – Malaysians are usually too pelit to do so.
But the information that kills Unspun is the statement by Dr Wee. In a feat of Sherlock Holms-ian proportions he deducted that the thieves were IT-savvy.
How did he know that? By the way they disconnected the server cables…and how they chose only new notebooks and computers. Hmmm…does one really need to be IT savvy to do all those things? Duh.
MCA Youth secretary-general Dr Wee Ka Siong, who visited the school later Sunday, said the robbers were very IT-savvy based on the way they disconnected the server cables and the computers.
“They only chose brand new notebooks and computers,” he said.
“We condemn this despicable act and urge the public not to buy these items if they happen to come across them,” he said. |
