Top 10 most authoritative blogs on Indonesia?

Out of curiousity Unspun ran a search in Technorati on “blogs about Indonesia” and sorted them by authority. The results are rather interesting. The top 5 bloggers are:

Web Design and Development – Sunaryo Hadi – Indonesia ( 1,354 blog links)

Weblog Wannabe: home of recyclable hyperlinks (814 blog links)

Blogger Indonesia A. Fatih Syuhud Weblog (646 blog links)

Informasi Lowongan Kerja (544 blog links)

Orangescale.NET – Personal Journal of Thomas Arie Setiawan (358 blog links)

The number of links is considerably smaller than their counterpart bloggers in Malaysia (see Malaysia’s top 50 bloggers). Unspun wonders if that’s because 1. Indonesian readers are not in the habit of linking blogs onto theor blogrolls, 2. Malaysians bloggers are enthusiastic about linking blogs…or what? Does anyone have any explanations for this phenomenon?

  1. I want to discuss this topic from the links aspect.

Two out of five above, are designer bloggers, who harvested a legion of links from other blogs which used their design templates (in which is including their own URIs in some pages).

I think Technorati just one of several parameters to find the most authorative blogs, others are Google Page Rank and Alexa.

Since Technorati just use amount of blog links to its blog finding results, so only big-link-blogs appear on the top, and the actual-popular blogs may stay in lower ranks.

I didn’t say that the two was not actual-popular blogs in Indonesia, but if we just use Technorati, of course designer-bloggers will have a big chance to be the top rank — even if the blogs which use their templates didn’t put the links deliberately, no problem, because it will work automatically! 🙂

  2. Bung Budi: Thanks for that piece of information. I didn’t know about the tricks of the blog designers.

So is there someone out there with the most authorative ranking of Indonesian blogs?

  3. As long as I know, so far, there are only several Technorati-based Indonesia top blogs.

If someone want to voluntary make Indonesia most authorative blogs, top 100, or whatever, based on mixed-methods of Technorati, Google Page Ranks, Alexa Ranks, media coverages, and so on (with a certain algorithma, of course) it would be very much appreciated! 🙂
