A bit of trenchant political commentary in Koran Tempo’s cartoon today. For those not familiar with Indonesian and the political context here, President SBY is sometimes known as the “akan” President because his speeches are replete with “akans“. Akan means will and the joke among some journalists is that he is forever saying that he or his administration will do this or that, but never comes round to doing them. Telah denotes past tense.
