The Unloved?

Age columnist Michael Backman‘s view of Malaysian Premier Abdullah Badawi. Is he really that bad?Unspun doesn’t really know but Unspun was in a meeting earlier today with Malaysian businessmen and they are all despairing. They are all livid because the stupid remarks made by the Malaysian ministers are hurting their businesses in Indonesia.

And they are not just Malaysian Chinese businessmen either. It was a good mix of Malays, Chinese and Indians and all of us were despairing. Malaysia boleh!

Malaysia’s PM seems to be failing his people at every chance

ON OCTOBER 31, Abdullah Badawi, Malaysia’s Prime Minister, will have been in office for four years. Abdullah
came to office promising to fight corruption and to be a breath of fresh air. He has failed on both counts.
But he has achieved one remarkable feat none of his predecessors could: he has united most of his country’s
elder statesmen, established businessmen and intellectuals.
They are united in their utter dismay at his performance, a point that many such individuals made to me on a
recent visit to Malaysia.
The despair is compounded by the near impossibility of getting rid of Abdullah.

  2. He is not bad. He is just not good. And this allows him to be taken advantage of by others in ways that the Malaysian history has not known.

  3. Yes, he really is that bad.
If he was genuine and meant what he said, he would not allow the country to be bled dry by his cronies.
Michael Blackman’s presents an absolutely true version of the current situation in Malaysian. The PM and all the other culprits will all cry foul, and in their usual xenophobic way will curse the foreigners for daring to comment on the affairs of their beloved cash cow.
The truth is nevertheless the truth, and as much as those hypocrites who plunderer the nations wealth would like it not to, the truth will always prevail.
Prepare for the ballot box revolution, mark you voting papers wisely this time, shake the BN devils.

Abdullah Ahmad Badawi? I have not seen a leader who scores so low in leadership. He is the worst in the history of Malaysian politics. I write this with substantiations at my blog, A Total Blog. I say he steps down now (9th of March 2008), before he brings Malaysians and Malaysia to doom…
