Court orders contaminated formula milk brands announced

The Central Jakarta District Court on Wednesday ordered two government bodies and another organization to announce the brand of baby formula milk contaminated with the Enterobacter Sakazaki bacteria.
The court granted the request of David M. L. Tobing, who demanded that the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB), Foods and Drugs Monitoring Agency (BPOM) and the Health Ministry reveal the contaminated formula milk brand.
“I here by sentence the defendant guilty of violating the law and sanction the defendant to announce the research result by naming the brand of the baby formula milk contaminated by the bacteria in mass and electronic media,” said head judge Reno Listowo, as quoted by Tempointeraktif.com.
