Women, feminists and sensitive men: prepare to be aghast


Indonesia is a land where there are many beautiful and intelligent women but why, oh why, do they have to choose Nadine Chandrawinata to be the country’s representative?nadine.jpg

As my colleague Be Kind, Rewind has wiritten in his blog, Nadin does not exactly embody the intelligence part of what a Miss Universe contestant should be. She may have Beauty and Body but Brains? And here we are not talking about just someone struggling with a second langage but a thought process.

Another friend wrote me to say:

Okay, I think this is sooooo embarrassing.
Miss Indonesia (Nadine Chandrawinata) says Indonesia is a city. Hello???
You should check that link to her interview video, definitely you will laugh and cry.

“My admirer is Mother Theresa… so I really adore at her…” ???
“I want to work for the Unicef so i can be more active and give more attention for them” (What a perfect candidate for Unicef)
“Indonesia is a beautiful city.. so, you should go there to visit by yourself, because we have a lot of beautiful bitch…es” (beaches?)

Let’s not talk about the controversies of wearing bikini or not at the Miss Universe 2006 stage, but please get her some English 101 first thing first before sending her to Los Angeles!!!
Contestants from neighboring countries such as Malaysia and Thailand definitely did better. Some who don’t speak English well, such as Miss China and Miss Kazakhstan, chose to speak in their own languages… saved them from embarrassment.

And why do some Indonesian media say that she speaks English and German fluently?!?

Doh.

    Oh gosh, this shouldn’t even be under women’s issues. Being one of the beautiful bitches in Jakarta City (the capital city of Indonesia, fyi), my backbone is so ticklish to comment.

    So her english is not good, she can always use an interpreter. Not every miss Indonesia are lucky to have dad’s that worked as a diplomate and lived in different countries, or can speak french because the mom is half french.

    I saw her in Media Indonesia and she said she didn’t expect the event will be covered globally. Wha…? In the picture she is hiding her face behind a cloth or something.

    You can see in the video that she was really struggling to say the right things, remembering what she was told to say, or reading the text. Poor girl. This girl and other poor girls in the future needs a PR to help them out. A damn good one, and a damn patient one. But aren’t they supposed to be the PR for Indonesia? Hmh.

    But it won’t be fun if all of them are smart, right? After all, this is Donald Trump.

    Anyways, July 24th, me and the other beautiful bitches will be gathering together after our long tiring days in the office and our heavy workout sessions (Nadine, your arm has cellulite and your abs is terrible. Unfortunately, no more time for gym, Honey). So lets watch. Lets relax ourselves watching the 3B around the worlds.

    This should be under your garbage, not women’s issues, by the way!

    If she speaks German fluently she should understand what I write here,

    Schrecklich und wieder schrecklich!!!. Painlich!.

    I don´t know what else to say beside embarrasing!. I wonder if she has really passed English 101. I remembered when I went so study in the U.S., most all the foreigners had lots of problem to pass English 101, some had to take 2 times, and not to mention to go further!. She can not even compose a good sentence. Where did she take her English 101???….anybody knows??
    She admires Mother Therese, but I guess she does not have any idea who the Mother Theresa was and what she did to the whole world (especially to people). Don´t tell me this!. Does she really also knows what UNICEF is and what the UNICEF is doing?. So…guess you don´t have to have brain in order to be Miss Universe. Whatta shame!. The neighbouring countries such as Malaysia, Kazakhstan are sending ladies with brain and behaviour and of course beauty is part of the deal. They do not have to be born in Germany or somewhere else and they do not have to study in the U.S, but they have good view what they would do for their own countries. They prepare themselves to the very highest level. One more comment to the Indonesian Committee, please please please take better step to do this kinda thing from the beginning. This is really really painful!.
