Unspun

Unspun is oftentimes out of touch with the beautiful people that populate the Indonesian Tattler, The Peak, The Register (horrors! see here) and other such prestigious trash.

This is probably because Unspun is unschooled in the ways of the rich, the famous, the washed and the perfumed. But Unspun appreciates a good bitch sand so was excited when I was told about the blog posting talked about by socialites and their alcolytes for ore than a year.

It was titled How to be a Socialite and what it did was, in almost a stream-of-consciousness mode, aired all the dirty, stained and soiled laundry of the Indonesian glitterat. Names were named and their peccadillos exposed. People in high places were shamed and more than socialite were scandalized. people who have read the posting and know some of the socialites swear that the posting was factual and accurate.

The socialites did not take this lying down. They swung their virtual Hermes Birkins at Rhum, the nickname for the anonymous blogger. Threats were made and the pressure must have been so intense that Rhum has removed the offending posting and posted this by way of explanation, if a little melodramatically:

Unspun feels that it’s a pity that Rhum’s decided to cave in because the socialites are in a desperate need of a reality check now and then. Rhum’s ommission is Indonesia’s loss. Just as well that Unspun was emailed a copy of the original posting before it was deleted. Now wouldn’t you want to read the much there? Hehehe.
