Maligned as a politician? Blog and reach out to bloggers

Priyadi dropped by at the office Wednesday to audit the Pesta Blogger accounts (which he’ll post on pestablogger.com in due time) and after going through invoices, receipts and books meticulously said he had to shoot off for a kopdar (Indonesian abbrevition for kopi darat, or shoot the breeze, chew the fat) with former State Secretary Yusril Ihza Mahendra. The kopdar between Yusril and several bloggers was apparently inspired by Vavai who was incredulous about reports that Yusril had begun blogging and kept shooting Yusril question after question over cyberspace until the former state secretary suggested a kopdar to prove his existence in the Net.

  1. interesting, I read to what you clipped from mas Priyadi’s blog , I’ve just noticed to the point “Vavai menawarkan Pak Yusril tempat blog yang lebih ‘reprensentatif”. what does that mean with “representatif”? does he blog in a place which is not ‘representatif’ right now?

  2. Things are heating up, yes?

Don’t be so negative on Vavai’s warm regards, though.
Maybe he’s just trying to be positive while eating his steak. I’d do the same too.

C’mon, Indonesian bloggers must stay positive towards each other! 😀

Then again, does it really intervene the true nature of the blogosphere if he’s maligned or not? Can he fave me on Technorati? That’s what I’m interested in.

…and if the Bistro has any black pepper steak on the menu.

  3. Thanks Marissa,

You got the point what I talked about.

The quote “Vavai menawarkan Pak Yusril tempat blog yang lebih ‘reprensentatif” came from Priyadi, but the original is about : “If Pak Yusril would like to used his personal branding (ie : domain with his name, a flexibility to change the themes, plugin or another stuff), I would like to prepared it.

This is not because he is Yusril Ihza Mahendra. The main reason is about our vision (remember to PestaBlogger) to see more and more people to joined with Indonesian bloghosphere and I think it should bring a positive value to all of us.

BTW, thanks to Unspun for this report 🙂
